How To Prepare For An End of Lease Cleaning Like A Professional?
Echoing our advice not to leave your end of tenancy cleaning until the last minute, we suggest that you schedule a day (or two!) in your calendar where you won’t be disturbed or distracted. Ask family members or friends for support if needed. Be sure to tell them ahead of time to increase the chance of them being available to help. A couple of days before the big day, make sure you got all the cleaning products and tools you need. Essential items you’re going to need can include:
- Vacuum cleaner
- Microfibre cloths
- Magic erasers
- White vinegar and baking soda
- Cleaning products
- Cleaning Gloves
That’s the only thing you can do with a mess. Start cleaning it up, a little at a time.
Remove as much of your stuff in advance as possible
Trying to carry out an end of tenancy cleaning while all your stuff is still in the property can be a nightmare. To avoid missing crucial areas when cleaning the property, remove as much stuff and personal appliances out of the property beforehand. If this isn’t possible, you can either move stuff into another room or away from the area you need to clean.
Also, don’t forget to remove debris from the property before the final inspection. Otherwise, you may be charged extra for its disposal.
Go from clean to dirty
It can be tempting to tackle the dirty areas of each room first and get the toughest tasks out of the way. However, by doing this, you risk spreading dirt and grime to the cleaner parts. Start with the clean-ish areas of the room before tackling the dirtier sections.
